Subj : Upgrade to Win11?

I've got way too many programs and steam games to do a fresh install.  I
tried to upgrade to Windows 11 and it went painlessly, until installing
windows update, after which my system went into a reboot loop...  I'd love to
upgrade again (I had a backup from that morning, so I didn't lose anything),
but I don't want an unusable system again...  Any advice?
