It wouldn't take a whole lot to run a couple of PF> Ethernets from there to my bedroom, where the modem is... I used to use powerline ethernet as well. When I had lived in my house (which I sold in a divorce), the powerline ethernet connection dropped every so often; the wiring in that house may have been spotty. In the apartment I live in now, I used powerline ethernet for a while to connect my fiber ONT to my office room, and it seemed fairly reliable in my apartment. I was using fairly fast powerline ethernet adapters (some of the fastest rated on the market), and at the time, I think I was getting around 150 megabit through them, which I felt was plenty, as my internet was 100 megabit at the time. But I've since upgraded my internet speed (I have gigabit for the time being), and I bought a very long ethernet cable and ran it down the hall to the closet in the other room where the ONT is. I bought some small cable ducting/raceway pieces for the ethernet cable too, so it doesn't look too janky down the hall, and some pieces which have sticky sides which go up the door frame & on the wall... I'll have to remove all that when I move out, and I hope it won't cause much of an asthetic issue when they're peeled off..
