I have a feeling that many of the pardons will get some legal scrutiny.

My understanding is that you can't pardon someone for that they MIGHT have
done.  Only what they did.  So if they claim that they didn't do anything, can
they keep the pardon?  You can't pardon someone for what they might do in the
future either.

I've also heard from some legal scholars that a pardon blocks a 5th Amendment
claim.  So if they put these people on the stand and ask them questions about
their crimes, they can't refuse to speak because they have the pardon to
protect them from the consequences.  And refusal to testify is a different
crime that they aren't pardoned on.
