I've worked with a therapist myself, and my son has semi-continuously over the past 8 years. We both singled out the occupational/physiological side of therapy as a great help. You can't always understand what you're feeling. If you can identify the physical sensations you have that accompany that feeling, you can use that as a trigger to help you take action to manage your feelings.
