I love notepad++

It includes many features that are helpful when working with code. Any time
I'm editing XML, HTML, MPL (soon), or even *.ini's, this is always my
go-to editor. It's free and open source, so you can try it out for yourself,
and see what I mean! :)

The only caveat: unless you're going to compile from source, it's only for
Windows, afaik...could be wrong, haven't been to their site in a while...
