Big Mikrotik fan here as well! I just upgraded my brother to Mikrotik gear as well. I setup Wireguard on my phone to my house and it works well. It is really nice to be able to use pihole at home over it while out and about.. so I don't have ad's while browsing, and ofcourse can get to resources at home.

As well, I setup a tunnel between my house and my brother.. and it has been rock solid! I can just hop into his router/switch/ap's from home with winbox and help him out when needed. 

I have used ovpn, etc in the past. So far it seems Wireguard is very lightweight on resources, and fast! 

Once I get the boy a new router setup.. I really want to see if I can get EoIP over wireguard.. so we can play on the same 'local' minecraft server.. curious to see if that works out!
