There's also hushmail.com which is a lot like protonmail except hosted here in 
Canada.  They offer a free tier and paid upgrades.

Even though they're based in Canada they seem to charge USD, which is a sore 
spot for me.  Right now USD$49.98 = CDN$60.24.

If you're based in Canada, stop ripping off fellow Canadians.  Charge 
Canadians in CAD and charge the rest of the world in USD.
