I think this is just a difference in expectations.
When somebody offers me something to check out, I expect it to be a URL that I
can paste into a browser, and watch the video, or paste after wget and grab the
 file for local storage.

But Paul rightfully pointed out this discussion is offtopic here, so let us
stop discussing it.
