   Mediterranean rain

   Heavy rain parts of the Mediterranean with more rain in western France
   too

   Tuesday
   A cold front moves southeastward over Spain and Portugal, bringing a
   spell of rain, followed by showers in the northwest of Iberia. Small
   amounts of rain reaching eastern Spain. A few showers around the
   Balearics, drier for Corsica and Sardinia. Slow-moving bursts of rain
   for southern Italy and the Adriatic coastline to western Greece.
   Spells of rain through France, the Low Countries into western Germany,
   some heavier showers moments. Brisk southwesterly winds. Mild through
   central and eastern Europe. Generally dry for Alps, south and eastern
   Germany and into eastern countries from Poland to the Black Sea.
   Windy for Scandinavia, heavy rain into southern Norway, snow into the
   mountains. Also rain in Sweden, pushing north with some snow in
   northern areas. Rain on and off for Denmark. Dry with southerly breezes
   into Finland and the Baltic states, fairly mild around the southern
   Baltic.

   Wednesday
   Rain and wind in northwest Spain today. A few showers and soe cloud in
   Portugal. Most of the rest of Iberia is going to be dry and bright.
   Heavy periods of rain affecting the Balearics and this extends across
   Corsica and Sardinia. Heavy rain too in the far south of Italy and
   Sicily with rain to in the far northwest of Italy. Other areas dry with
   some sunshine. Further heavy rain in western and southern Greece.
   Turkey is dry with sunshine.
   Rain in the far west of France in the afternoon but fair for most of
   France. The Low Countries will have wind and some outbreaks of rain.
   Germany and Poland should be dry with sunny spells. Further sunny
   spells to come in Austria and Hungary. Switzerland will be dry and
   bright with sunshine here.
   Cloud and some outbreaks of rain for Denmark. The Baltic States will be
   bright and dry. A few showers to come in Finland. Broken cloud and some
   sunny spells in Sweden but a few spots of rain here too. More rain for
   Norway and becoming windier here.
