Much of the central and eastern continent will be dry with sun though some sudden variable winds are possible. Thursday Gales onto Portugal's west coast with strong winds well inland as well. Near constant heavy rain in Portugal and west Spain, drier east by cloudy. Fine in the central Mediterranean though some cloud around the islands and northern Italy. Sunny in southern Italy eastward into the Balkans and Greece. Sunny in west Türkiye, showers further east. A warm day in France with strong southerly winds and mild temperatures. Mild too across the countries north of the Alps into west Poland. Some patchy rain in northwest France early, gradually forming into a broader band draped across the North Sea coast. Cloudy but dry over the Alpine countries and Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary. Brighter towards the Black Sea. Mild in Denmark and southern Sweden with some rain; gales continue here. Gales over the Baltic States as well with rain in Estonia. Strong, variable westerlies across much of Scandinavia with gales on western coasts of Norway and Finland. Snow across most northern areas, a few bright spells in central Sweden. Rain across much of Finland. Friday More strong southerly winds in Iberia with showers and sunshine. A few showers reach the Balearics later. Further east, remaining dry and sunny from Italy into the Balkan States and Greece. Some cloud and local light rain may fall in northern Italy and Croatia. Türkiye dry and fine as well. More mild weather in France with showery rain.
