Actually, some BBS twitlists are "advanced" enough that messages both from and to that user disappear. It is like they don't exist. :) In the case of running a BBS, those are perfect for echos that you moderate. Yes, in the case of an FTN or QWK network, the messages are still on the network somewhere, but they don't show on your BBS or go to any downlinks you might have, allowing for at least some level of moderation.
