that site has never been about archiving for posterity.. it's all about
gatekeeping and showing off the collection. we'd be better off if just
about anyone else had it. mirror it everywhere with hdd space. but that would take away the special place that archive holds.

the os2bbs guy was just as bad. protecting from mirroring .. all sorts of stuff that will be gone eventually because of lame pride.

"boohoo my bandwidth" - i don't buy it. i'll be the first to mail out an hdd. bet more excuses will come.
