You should obtain the most recent Fidonet Nodelist, find the appropriate 
Region and Net, then send a Crash/direct Netmail to the appropriate NC. After 
you are assigned an address, you are generally free to choose whatever Hub you
want. You could use 3:770/1 provided that Netmail is routed correctly; usually
what I suggest is that you have a connection with your NC.

I'd have to look at my Exchange server log but if I recall it was because a
connection could not be established... either incorrect MX records for your
domain or your email system is refusing connection for some reason.
