Subj : External Utilities To : All From : Black Panther Date : Mon Mar 01 2021 11:39 pm Hi All, Another quick question for you. When running an external utility for your BBS, do you prefer 32 or 64 bit? In the past, I've been compiling for both Linux64 and Win32. I haven't heard any complaints, but wanted to make sure this worked for everyone. I know that a lot of Linux distros have been dropping support for 32bit applications. I'm not sure about the new versions of Windows, if they are still supporting 32bit or not. I have a Win7/32 system here that I compile them on, but could also set up Windows 64 bit in a VM, if needed. Please let me know your feedback on your preferences with external utilities for your BBS. :) Thanks --- Black Panther(RCS) aka Dan Richter Castle Rock BBS telnet://bbs.castlerockbbs.com http://www.castlerockbbs.com http://github.com/DRPanther The sparrows are flying again... --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/01/14 (Linux/64) * Origin: Castle Rock BBS - bbs.castlerockbbs.com (21:1/186) .
