... and now you're so used to doing it that way that even if you were to get a left-handed mouse it would probably be uncomfortable and hard to get used to the mouse buttons being backwards (to you, anyway)! ;)

Not sure I've ever tried that before, even though I did somewhat teach myself to write with my right hand a bit. It's nowhere near as legible and neat as my left, but it's doable. I'll have to try that sometime.
