I think 4.08 is still called a "beta" and not officially released.  
Version 4.07 may be the last official one, but I'm not positive.

Something changed after version 4.06, that may have been when the 
ownership change happened.  Long ago (in the 90's), I registered LORD at 
version 3.55, and that reg code still works up to 4.06, but not on 4.07 
or 4.08.

I'm happy with running 4.06.  :-)
