Yes, in it's day it was great but time marches on.

That is actually possible. I think Mystic and Synchronet make that quite easy to do. Binkd can do it to with a little trickery.

Binkp is the main thing protocol we have today. Like so many fido protocols I think we'd do things differently today but we carry on.. :)
