I'm running a dedicated server on OVH now (several VMs including the BBS).  Prior to that I was running on DigitalOcean, and also tested with Linode... both worked, but had some delivery issues with outbound mail, so relayed outbound via SendGrid.  I looked at PhxNap as well, which is local to me, but the ram/cpu I got on the OVH box was a better deal (R7 5800X w/ 64gb ram).

Might be worth looking at other VPS providers as well that aren't "cloud" providers first and formost.
