I found a webpage with a telnet client embedded in it. That worked well
enough to make sure that a 'connection' could be established. The real answer
is that I have a buddy who's addicted to Legend of the Red Dragon and wooing
Violet, so I just told him that I had a 'beta' BBS up with LORD on it and
he's been connecting every day and lets me know when there are problems. :D
