JK> Hmm.. I talked to another fellow who also had to relink his system JK> there. Sounds like the murphy guy was having some fun. I hope you JK> are all re-connected now. yeah, not quite... some areas are still coming back as not available... i'm guessing this means that they are not on the 'bone but i don't know how he handles that aspect to determine when to forward the request "upstream" to you and bobS for reconnection... JK> We had some fun yesterday - my coffee-pot must have shorted out and JK> tripped the gfci switch in the kitchen outlet where the coffee-pot JK> was plugged in... which is when we found out what else was on that JK> particular circuit.. like _half_ the outlets in the computer-room JK> which is off the kitchen. My system was (note past tense) plugged JK> into one of those affected. So poof.. there went the whole circuit JK> 'til we found the outlet that had the problem.. nice safety JK> feature, but a dog to find sometimes Lol yep! sounds like someone took the easy way out and passed the wire "thru" that outlet... it can be remedied rather easily if you can get the outlet out and move the wires from one side to the other to the outlet is in parallel instead of in series... one of the things we've done here is to install our own outlets for the computers... they are all noticibly different from the normal ones and they have orange sheathing... when the power goes out, the orange cables are the ones that we connect to the feed from the generator so that we can power the important stuff along with the fridges, freezers, heat, TVs and a few lights ;) )\/(ark --- * Origin: (1:3634/12.42) .
