personally speaking, either one is fine by me but i think it is a good idea to 
distribute the script with the data file it creates... others might not carry 
PERLSCR but they do carry I-BINKD so it seems that it would be better off in 
I_BINKD... but as you say, it is jame's choice one way or the other ;)
