Assuming your snide remark is referring to Z1 people...

I was in FidoNet in the early/mid 90's for a few years, and am again now 
for the last 6 years or so.  I didn't know Janis, then or now.  So how
could I make any comments to "commemorate" her?

How many people currently in FidoNet, were also here (continuously) 
since the 90's?  Yes, there are some, but I bet you can count them on 
your fingers only, without needing to use your toes.  Even of those 
people, unless they have served as a *C of some kind, how many would be 
likely to actually know her?  That's right....

As I said above, I did not know her, but have heard/read some about her 
in recent times (even before her passing).  Certainly she was a 
prominent figure in the world of FidoNet, and I'm sorry she's gone, but 
that's about all I can say.
