Actually, even though it's such a land-yacht, it's not all that bad on fuel.  
It's only got a Cadillac 331 CID engine in it.  (Fairly standard for 1953.)

When I -do- fill it, we're talking $25 to $30, depending on prices.

I've got to get around to that.  I have one picture with the wife standing next 
to it, but it's poor quality.  I'll have to do a series before I put it away 
for the winter.
