Drive Snapshot, a little shareware program written by some crazy German, 
powers all of the disk-based image backups here. I'm a huge fan and could not 
get the credit card out of my wallet fast enough to buy the licensing.

I have not had to re-install Windows in... several years now.

So she can trash the netbook and it won't be a huge deal to fix it... but she 
is using Wifi at a relative's home, subject to the rules and regulations set 
forth in that household. "Internet in our family is a privilege, not a right"
