Subj : BT over telnet To : Sean Dennis From : Alan Ianson Date : Sat May 09 2009 09:42 am Hello Sean, SD> This message is probably more for the OS/2 sysops... SD> I'm thinking about using BT to "answer the phone" on my telnet ports. SD> I'm writing a "matrix logon" front-end for my BBS and want to use BT SD> to answer the port for me so the logon door can pick up and then pass SD> the hot connection to Maximus. While I've been tinkering with this, SD> the thought occured to me that my system might be "crashable" via SD> telnet. Does anyone know about this and can this be done properly? Bob Jones at Top Hat BBS 1:343/41 has been running like that for quite a few years. He polled me when I was running MBSE just to see if it would work and it seemed to. I'm sure he'd be glad to help. ATM, I have BBBS answering telnet on port 23 (and binkd on 24555). I'm not sure how long that BBBS is going to be there but at the moment it is running 1:153/758 and 618:400/10, feel free to poll if you like and we'll see what happens.. :) Ttyl :-), Al ....
