Very true,  I just thought it might help as I keep the dynamic libraries to a reasonable minimum.  The binary should run on his 20.04 LTS install without too much trouble.

I do prefer Gentoo as my goto Linux distro;  however,  Ubuntu 20.10 had all the bits for ZFS "in-the-box" so to speak.  Someday (wishful thinking here), I'll have time to sort out Gentoo and ZFS; at which point I'll redo this machine.
