I haven't seen that happening, searched the logs, nothing found like that.

Is it possible that some other program has the file open? Bbs, another mailer 
session, file processor...?

It has been compiled with

gcc version 3.3.5 (Bird Build 2014-10-26 18:53 (csd6))
