What did you vary between your retries?
It gives you a reason why that particular command failed.
Usually some missing lib.

Just go and install that lib, and you are one step further.

If you are mentally incapable (not judging here!) to do that simply stick with 
precompiled binaries.

The BinkD docu is quit OK.
If it is not enough for you to compile it, it is probably better you do not, 
and stick with ready made binaries.

It was all pointed out in the docu.
You either did not read it, or are incapable of understanding and processing 
it.
Either of those cases is not the fault of binkd or its authors.

No problem with that.
Then do not do it.

But do not blame YOUR incompetence on the authors of SW packages.
