Subj : Binkd tools (TIC, FREQ's...), gating, and setup To : rick christian From : Alan Ianson Date : Wed Sep 28 2016 10:32 am Wednesday September 28 2016 09:42, you wrote to me: rc> URRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I understand.. :) rc> URRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! rc> So SPECIFICALLY what order is this stuff supposed to be done in???? I'm not certain since I never wrote the software, I just use it. I'll list below the steps I take to compile it. It's not necessarily the way to do it, it's just what works for me. rc> get husky source rc> tar -xvf husysource rc> cd huskysource Copy the huskymak.cfg from huskybse to the root of your husky source directory and make any needed adjustments for your setup. I need to change "LIBDIR=$(PREFIX)/lib" to "LIBDIR=$(PREFIX)/lib64" for my slackware64 setup, others may not need this step. Then change to these directories and make, and sudo make install. huskylib smapi fidoconf hptzip areafix hpt htick sqpack A note on hptzip, you only need to do this step if you want zipInternal support. You also need to set this in your huskymak.cfg, USE_HPTZIP=1. I had to edit the Makefile in the hptzip directory and change "SHAREDOPT= -shared -Wl" to "SHAREDOPT= -shared -Wall". I don't know if that change is needed in other environments. If you have successfully built those packages I think you are good to go, you just need to edit your config as you need it. I have a zip file of my configs I have shared with others to see how I have done it here. It doesn't use every keyword available and won't work for you as is but you can see how I do it here. Let me know if you'd like to have a look at that. I think we may be straying a little off topic here though, FIDOSOFT.HUSKY would probably be a better place to talk about husky and it's config. .... I do not think it means what you think it means. --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5-b20160322 * Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, BC Canada (1:153/757) .
