It works well in my setup since binkd is daemonized it is always listening
and watching the outbound all I need to do is touch the flow file of the
node I want to poll and I'm done. I don't need to start another binkd.

Ahh.. I haven't used -n before that I remember. That might work better for
what you are doing. If that does what you need to do add a cron entry that
does that.

It's still what we need to do. I suppose now that there are no tolls we can
poll at will and I usually crash everything to the destination.

Yep, just make and install what you need and your done.. :)

It's important what order you install things.. areafix before hpt etc.

I like freq-u because it is simple and works the way file requesting always
has worked and the setup is similar to the setup with FD or BinkleyTerm back
in the day.. as far as I remember.. :)

I like mfreq because it is very configurable and like configuring those sort
of things. They both come with example configs.. They'll be in your inbound
shortly so you can look them over and decide.
