why are you fiddling with this mess again once you have it working??

in fidonet you simply include binkd.txt from the I-BINKD FDN... othernets may 
or may not have a distributed binkd contact list... if they do not, you have to 
generate one locally and include it...

at the end of your binkd.cfg file you may have node entries... i keep all my 
private node entries in a separate file that is easier to update when 
necessary... i call it myconns.cfg... so with binkd.txt and myconns.cfg, the 
end of my binkd.cfg looks like
