It seems the bug is still there. binkd just crashed on me, two minutes after 
changing the config again. So, i can't give you a postmortem report. I simply 
terminated itself, no error information.

No, I do not use the perl hooks. If Max were to compile another version without 
the perl hooks, but with zlib, I will happily test it.

 PG> Do you run binkd with -s or -c option?

No. I did use the -C option before. Now it is runnng without any option.
