i don't know how long ago you heard about this but it could easily have been on 
my new synchronet installation... i saw that one of my returning users had 
gotten in there when i popped in and tried to bring them to xnode chat... they 
may say something if they like but i won't flip them about it... it was kinda 
humorous, though...

going back further, i had done a lot of work adding an AI to my really old IRC 
server... it was quite fun but training the thing was horrendous... especially 
for technical support stuffs when it was originally designed for general 
chit-chat... we eventually dropped it and moved on to other things...
