I'm wondering if Kim created another > step or the archive is just bad. Here's the steps I took: I took basically the same steps with the exception of a different directory path (/home/bbs/bbbs/). And got the same result. > /home/axisd/tmp $ ./bcfg4 0 > Bad command or file name > /home/axisd/tmp $ ./bbbs > Bad command or file name I did a "objdump -p /home/bbs/bbbs/bcfg4 | grep NEEDED" from a terminal window and got a response: NEEDED libpthread.so.0 NEEDED libc.so.6 Which tells me that the BBBS executable needs or can't find the specified libraries. A second thought was to check to verify that the executables were 32b or 64b executables. I used the command "file /home/bbs/bbbs/bcfg4". It turned out that the files were actually 32b executables. And the OS here is 64b Ubuntu. It should be noted that 64b Linux should be able to run a 32b executable. But in some cases the needed libraries do exist but can't be found. > This was with an Archlinux VM on an HP Proliant server with an Intel Xeon > processor. It should also be noted that I haven't used or tried to install those older releases of BBBS in some years. I initially installed the Win32 version of BBBS and then later moved over to the Lin64 version. Jeff --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-3 * Origin: The Ouija Board (1:282/1031) .
