Subj : Re: Gravel vacuum recomme To : All From : Brian S. Date : Sat Oct 16 2004 07:06 am Just bought a cheap-o gravel filter at wally world for about $8 or so and it suits me fine. I've found out that if you leave the siphon in the same spot in some gravel for a few seconds longer, it really pulls up lots of stuff deep down in the substrate. I then just have a 3-gallon bucket that I use to refill after doing a water change. I guess I just don't see a point in spending lots of money on all this equipment when this hobby is supposed to be fun, enjoyable, and relaxing. Still I'm amazed how much I've personally spent on all of my setups over the years. Brian S.
