Subj : 7th Spawn Progress And Water Change To : All From : Jeff Snyder Date : Wed Feb 17 2010 10:11 am Today marks day #11 since Mama Mbuna spawned for the seventh time, since I purchased her at our LFS in April of 2009. She has found a comfortable safe haven amongst the rocks near the center of the tank, where -- for the most part -- she has been able to escape the aggressive advances of the dominant male. The surviving fry from her first six spawns continue to grow, and the tank is looking quite populated. Yesterday I also conducted a 15-gallon water change, which is over a third of the tank's volume. I decided to only lower the water level to the top of the rocks, as I didn't want to disturb Mama Mbuna too much. A few days ago I also washed out the sponges in the Penguin 330 Bio-Wheel filters. I likewise cleaned the algae from the front and side glass panes, and stirred up the sand along the panes using my turkey baster. All is well in Mbunaland. :) Jeff Snyder, SysOp - Armageddon BBS Visit us at endtimeprophecy.org port 23 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your Download Center 4 Mac BBS Software & Christian Files.
