  Those are what I call "Hi, Bye, And QSY" (hello, goodbye, I'm going
to another net to checkin that's meeting at the same time as this one").

  The main reason I like to hear folks checkin, is that it lets us know
that they're still "on this side of the grass", and not "A Silent Key".

  It depends on what net you're talking about it. I do a weekly net on
Trains And Railroading...and there are other nets on cooking, computers,
RV's/Camping, Astronomy, and more.
