Now, I could outfit a nice shack for $17,000 -- but for one rig, to me, that's overkill. But, I'm sure there are some hams that wouldn't bat an eye to pay that kind of money (must be nice to have such). Indeed, at some hamfests, you can buy a "brick" of prize tickets for $100.
