My wife and I realized that we had given away all our good costumes (for
reasons that were good at the time), so I decided to get me a pirate costume
outfit that would last a while.  I went all out.  Leather hat.  Period style
clothes.  Sash.  Head sash.  Bandolero with repro flint locks. And, of course,
eye patch.  It's really nice.

That's why what he does is so incomprehensible to the Elitists.  In the Elitist
world view, you simply command it.  And if someone doesn't comply, you hit him
until he does.  And war breaks out.  But since the Elitists don't fight in
wars, they don't care.
