Yea, not even the news media uses Google (or any other websites) as sources. (Not that I've seen.)

It wouldn't sound as believable as "According to a survey from Quinnipiac University.." Words like "Quinnipiac" and "university" carry more weight than "Google search" even for the sheepiest of sheeple.
