Yet, as we are now finding out, no one wants to do those jobs.

They were being paid the going rate for those jobs, a rate that Americans
don't want to work at for jobs that even jobless Americans won't do.  There
are fruit growers in the south that are begging for workers on social media
and they are not getting much for their trouble but derision.

In the southwest, they had programs where they bussed the workers in during
the day, and bussed them back home in the evenings, so they were not even
here illegally.  Now most of them won't come due to fear of being hassled.
