Joe Biden voted for segregation when > he was senator. Is that racist? Joe Biden was elected to the US Senate when he was 29 years old. Still too young to hold office. Please explain how he managed to vote for segregation before even graduating from college or law school. >Then he said "I don't want my kids going to school in a racial jungle." > There are a lot of kids in the USA with parents from "the jungles" of the > world. Cost Rica is mostly jungle. Should Costa Rican immigrants feel good > about sending their kids to school with Biden's kids? Governor Mike Foster of Louisiana made a remark to his black opponent in the election that black folks live in what he called a "jungle" by their own choice. Well, over a third of the voters in the state are black. And they did not take too kindly by the governor's choice of words. However, Joe Biden has never made that claim about anybody in Louisiana. That is the difference between a white guy who owned a plantation home (Mike Foster) whose grandfather had slaves as his loyal subjects (Foster's grandfather owned a plantation and was also a governor of Louisiana), with another white guy (Joe Biden) who never owned a plantation or anybody of any color in his entire life. --Lee -- We're Great In Bed --- MesNews/1.08.05.00-gb * Origin: nntp://rbb.fidonet.fi - Lake Ylo - Finland (2:221/360.0) .
