That's right. After 40 years in the slammer, Mark Chapman
finally said he is "sorry" he killed John Lennon. Why did he
do it? He said he did it for "glory" - and that he deserved
the death penalty. Shot him four times. Right after getting
his autograph. With Lennon's wife Yoko Ono watching.

But life in prison has taught him a lesson. A lesson he has
finally learned.

Most countries in Europe let lifers out of prison after they
have served 10-15 years behind bars. It is time the USA does
the same, releasing those who have done the same. After all,
life in prison should not mean an indefinite period of time.

And besides, Mark Chapman did say he is "sorry". Which is
more than most killers tell their victims.
