It's been there is the mid 1800's. In 2016 it was named "Magazine of the Year" by the American Society of Magazine Editors. It is known for it's literary pieces. It is not a political rag.

It's not a rumour and it's not new. Trump talked this way of John McCain and other veterans in the past.
