I don't think it's entirely fair to lump all right-wingers together like that any more than it is to do so with left-wingers.
I'm new here, or at least I've not been around Fido for several years,and I'm interjecting my opinion in the middle of a conversation I don't currently have access to the beginning of, so I might be off base a bit.
But as someone who more or less is more right than left, I don't see my views as being based in "cruelty and decay" as you put it. It's based on a belief in individual liberty.
