And yet, he's spanking Trump in polls right now as the
extent of the latter's incompetence becomes clear in the
current crisis.

Here's a lesson for you: it's "easy" to be the leader when
things are going well.  You don't have to do much; all you
have to do is keep the ship pointed in the right direction.
Trump inherited a booming economy on a growth trajectory,
and a government in good shape from his predecessor.  His
"pro-business" rhetoric led to market speculation that
increased stock values; good for 401(k)'s.

But real leadership is shown in times of crisis.  The first
major problem in his presidency, and he bungled it so badly
that the illusory gains of the first three-and-a-half years
were wiped out in two weeks.  He continues to bungle.  He
has shown definitively that he is not a leader.

The people in the primaries voted for Biden.  You may not
like him; hell, _I_ don't like him (but I'm not a Democrat,
either), but that's who the people chose.

The American public, led by the right-wing, have lost the
ability to think logically and rationally.  They mistake the
loudest people in the room for having the most support;
hence, claims that the nomination was "stolen" from Bernie
(who just failed to get the vote) or that Trump has all this
support (he doesn't have the support of anything approaching
a majority: just enough in the swing states to win the EC,
which sadly, is how we elect presidents in the US
).
