Dear UNIX diary,

  I  recently  added  "\a"  to  my  $PS1.  This way, I automatically get
  notified when a long running task has finished. I wonder  if  this  is
  going to helpful or annoying.

  Speaking  of  the  "UNIX  diary":  Also recently, I joined nixers.net.
  There's a thread called "UNIX diary", the purpose  of  which  is  very
  similar  to  this  Twitpher  feed. I guess some of the content will be
  duplicated in this thread.

  Just stumbled upon uw-ttyp0[1].  It's a bitmap font with  pretty  good
  unicode  coverage.  The coverage is even better than that of Terminus,
  which I've been using for years now.  So, I've switched.

  The font looks a little "fuzzy", or  rather  Terminus  looks  cleaner.
  Hmm. Let's see if I can get used to it.
