CDE builds and runs on an Arch Linux in a VirtualBox.[1] Of course, there's some bugs to eliminate. First of all, I'm missing most of the pixmaps. Some programs don't run yet and there's a hell lot of warnings during compile time. Last but not least, there's no PKGBUILD for Arch -- yet. Nevertheless, it's very interesting, especially for us younger people. Back in the nineties, there was *no way* for me to get hold of a commercial Unix system. I used Linux at home but that's it. I guess CDE actually is nothing special -- but for me, it's *THE* graphical environment on Unix. I love it! ____________________ 1. http://www.uninformativ.de/gal/desktop/2012-08-10--CDE-first-shot-missing-pixmaps.png
