# Chocolate Mug Cake This is also not an original recipe. My friend taught me how to make these, and I don't know where she got it from. ## Ingredients * Self raising flour * Milk * Cocoa powder/drinking chocolate powder * Sugar (not really necessary if the chocolate powder you're using is sufficiently sweet, but recommended if using cocoa powder) * Cream or ice cream (optional, to serve.) ## Method In a microwave-safe mug, mix 2 tablespoons self raising flour, 2 tablespoons chocolate or cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons milk, and 1 teaspoon sugar (optional) into a batter. For larger or smaller quantities, keep the above ratio (1:1:1) and adjust accordingly. Microwave for 90 seconds and check. Resulting cake should be spongy and moist. If it's not fully set, microwave it for another 30 seconds. I recommend serving with cold cream or a dollop of ice cream. ## Optional Additions * You can throw in some chocolate chips or M&Ms before microwaving to kick it up a notch. * Sometimes I make this with fancy salted caramel hot chocolate powder and it's really nice. * When I really want something fancy and decadent, I'll make this in a bowl, and on top of the cake I'll add berries, ice cream, chocolate sauce, and a sprinkle of drinking chocolate.
