Usually I use this space for complaining, but today I'm full of gratitude.

I came downstairs after a long sleep-in to find my daughter and my partner playing fortnite together with both of their best friends. I love that my partner and his friend group make an effort to include my kids and their friends.
Childfree 30-somethings don't usually want to hang out with 10 year old girls, but the kids benefit so much from having a broad variety of socialisation, and having grown-ups take an interest in what they're doing.

It's a great privilege to have a family so full of love.
